Santa
Dog play seductive and shimmering guitar-pop escapism. Think Blondie going two
rounds with the Smiths on the edge of a cliff with a stiff English breeze whipping
up skirts and causing musical mischief.
In the short time this four piece from Bristol, England have been together they
have self-released three EPs to much critical praise, resulting in a 7" vinyl
single release with new London label SoundsXPerience and debut album release
in Japan with Quince Records.
The band have received airplay on BBC Radio 1 (Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq),
Kerrang (Cntrl, Alt Delete & Indie Nation shows), XFM Scotland (Jim Gellatly)
and numerous International specialist alt/indie shows including Babes in Boyland
(Paris), Popscene (Radio Bremen, Germany) NPR & selected USA and Canadian college
radio. Live, the band have played all over the UK, including headlines at the
Luminaire (Time Out London's venue of the year). Further afield, Santa Dog have
played Fleche D'or in Paris, dates in Austria and showcased at Canada Music
Week in Toronto.
Thanks to the global reach of the internet the band are also featured on numerous
podcasts, webzines and music blogs worldwide, with the cds selling as far and
wide as the USA, Indonesia, Australia, Europe, Hong Kong and Canada.
